Once before and after photos are taken and your treatment goals are reviewed with Dr. Madsen, the Kybella treatment typically lasts about 15 minutes.

Some clients report a minor stinging or burning discomfort during the treatment. Once the treatment is completed, the discomfort is gone. For up to two weeks following treatment the area will be tender and numb.

Kybella is an injectable treatment that, when injected into the submental fat (fat under the chin), permanently eliminates the fat cells. The area will be swollen for about two weeks, and full treatment results can be experienced starting at six weeks. Often, multiple treatments may be needed to achieve the desired result.
